Terms of Service
Last updated 10 June 2026. Murphy's Plumbing is a fictional business created for website demonstration purposes. These terms are illustrative.
These terms
These terms set out how Murphy's Plumbing provides plumbing and heating services. They are illustrative for this demonstration website.
Call-outs and quotes
Emergency call-out rates are quoted before travel. Repair, replacement, and project prices are confirmed before work starts. If a hidden issue is discovered, any extra cost is agreed before proceeding.
Payment
Emergency and small repair work is payable on completion unless otherwise agreed. Larger projects may require a deposit to secure materials and a date. Payment terms are stated on the written quote.
Gas and safety work
Gas work is carried out by an RGI-registered engineer and certificates are issued where required. Customers must provide safe access and disclose any known hazards, leaks, or previous defects.
Parts and guarantees
Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and boilers. Workmanship issues should be reported as soon as possible so they can be inspected and resolved. Guarantees do not cover misuse, neglect, or unrelated faults.
Cancellations
For planned work, please give as much notice as possible if you need to move a booking. Emergency calls may be charged if cancelled after travel has started.
Liability
Murphy's Plumbing carries public liability insurance. Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out, except where Irish law does not allow a limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. For any question, contact info@murphysplumbing.ie.
